Fire! Fire!! Fire!!!

My clothes still smell like smoke from last night's fire. My friend Julie woke me up in the middle of the night saying there was a fire right outside! At first I thought she was talking about my uninsured rental car. Instead, a two story house across the street was completely engulfed in flames. I have never been so close to a fire of this magnitude or seen such wild flames. As I walked through the smoke and flashing red lights I felt like I was living someone else's nightmare.
